John Fogerty is one of the best voices in the history of rock.

Like I said, nothing, NOTHING, beats the 70's for great rock BANDS. Case in point with this song.

Song about the band breaking up. John Fogerty always sang from the heart and you could can feel his pain.

according to John Fogarty, this song was about his brother Tom leaving the band which essentially broke them up.
They were on the top (sunny sky) when this rain fell.

They nailed the swamp rock sound, but they were from San Fransisco. John's vocal delivery is amazing.

Love the way the organ slips in quietly in the second verse. CCR was a great, great band.

Their "20 Greatest Hits" album is amazing. All killer, no filler. One of the best recordings ever imho.

Although it was a long time ago, every time I hear this song it reminds me of Vietnam.

The rain will come down but are you ready for rough weather when everything is looking sunny, and all of a sudden trouble comes and messes up your mood or what you have going on at the time.
John's brother decided to leave CCR at a time when they were really doing well.So he wrote a song about it.Love"Have you ever Seen the Rain"expecially the way Fogerty sings it with so much feeling.

I see that you've reacted to quite a few CCR songs, but not yet reacted to Heard It Through the Grapevine. It's A Must! The song was a chart hit by Marvin Gaye and also by Gladys Knight and the Pips. And then there's the CCR version -- Totally different from the other two. All three are really good, but they're so different that it's tough to say which is best. But the CCR version is super good.

Heard it Through the Grapevine...the 11+ minute version. Incredible!

The real hook for me is “…coming down on a sunny day” Yes. Yes I have. I ❤️❤️❤️ CCR! They may be from California, but there’s gotta be a legit southern root somewhere.

Yeah John Fogherty has the most beautiful rasp and grit, CCR is definitely an American
Y’all should definitely check out their songs “Long as I can see the light & I heard it through the grapevine”

Favorite CCR song is “Lodi.” Wonderful tune just about being in a band.
