In this video, we discuss the history of influence and influencers among Muslim Black Americans. Many people reject Islam in the Black community based on the argument that it is an Arab religion. But is this true to history? Marcus Garvey, Elijah Muhammad, Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali, Rakim, Shaharazad Ali, etc all have been influenced by or accepted Islam. These examples, and many others, make clear that Islam has been a great help for Black America.

Islam teaches us to never judge people based on skin colour or ethnicity or race. Islam teaches us to judge people based on their characteristics.

Brother we West Africans Islam didn't come to us through slavery or colonialism. I know the Arabs did lots of awful things to our brothers and sisters in East Africa but that got nothing to do with Islam. I have seen this statement on social medias, where black Americans are saying that " religion has made Africa poor" which sound preposterous to me. Assalamou alayka brother, i'm from France and i'm an arab morrocan muslim. Honestly I have a big problem with the notion of race (telling this one is black this one is white, how we determine this ? Where is the limit if I'm a little bit more or less brown), you see what I mean? I hate when what we call white poeple talk about blacks or vice versa. We are endocrinated to think like that and I feel that this more true in US. I understand that there is a looong history full of injustice and suffrance but humans are stupid and color skin was just an excuse to harm and control other people from among many other possible excuses, but I think that giving this type of race separation credit is even more supporting it. I love how Islam disolves this hole discussion of color skin or nationality by considering us equal, sons of Adams, aaall made of dirt and then redefining from the beginning a new categorisation of people and relationships based on their faith. And what is more beautiful is that faith is hidden so no tangible distinction from the outside so no jugement or classification possible, just Allah SWT knows.

I just looked up 'Black Arab What I found made me sick. Many people covet the blessings of the Arabs but our jobs as Muslims is to bring people closer to Allah, regardless of your wealth. I see too many Muslims focused on money in there religion.... Those who thinks they can manipulate Allah into giving them blessings are in for a very bad punishment. He knows the heart, he rises up those whom he DECIDES to, not because you simply stated a Dua. My next agenda is to become a rabbi within the next 10 years (I don't have as much knowledge from the Quran as I would like to)
