I have a feeling this guys channels is about to explode with popularity. Its nice to know if i go back to 40k, i can do so at a fraction of the cost and that money doesn't go to GW. Absolute win.

As an Imperial guard player, I've been saving insane amounts of money by printing models instead of buying them, especially considering I use a ton of Deathkorps models.

As an avid printer for 2 years now i fully recommend it, if you dont count the printer price you can play warhammer on a 70-90% discount depending on the army
Also i can recommend Sunlu abs like resin especially if you play an army with more fragile models like necrons or daemons its way more sturdy than the standard stuff (and actually cheaper then the anycubic resin i started on)

GW just raises prices again. $265 for the new genestealers battle force?? get real. buy a 3D printer.

Hello ! I used to only print with water washable when I started ! But since then I decided to try other type of resin, and to be honest it’s not really more complicated to use. Try the Tenacious resin, it’s an amazingly solid one. What I do is use it only for model that look like they break as soon as I touch them, and I use cheaper but still amazing resin for sturdier models ! I just printed an entire Chaos SM combat patrol for 20 bucks…

Thanks so much for this video! I’ve been considering getting into 3D printing for 40k. This answers a lot of questions I’ve had. Keep up the great work, Good Sir!

Love the idea of 3D printing, not so much the space it takes up in my already cramped one bed flat in London haha! Congrats on 9K subs!!

The answer if they break is to spend $6 on resin instead of $3! People mix tough or ABS like resin in. Compared to GW pricing, it wouldn’t be that expensive to use full bottles of the best resin!

Been looking into 3d printing after noticing GW profit margin is nearly 5 times higher than bandai and amazon(MADNESS) and your videos have been helpful!

I got me a Mars and it has been a banger. Throwing out an occasional pop-culture model here and there has been a joy. My favorite being a certain frozen food truck to go with my buggies.

Thanks for the honest look. I've always avoided 3D printing due to space and fumes.

water washable is incredibly brittle. After years I made the switch to ABS-like now that IPA is down in price again. I would suggest for prints with fiddly bits, just undercure them in the cleanup step but don't waste any time getting them primed. Cure as much as you can until the part starts to give resistance to moving. Once they're sealed in a layer of primer you're not really touching the resin at that point. Just don't eat the things and use care before they're primed.

I'd love to get a 3d printer but lack the space and expertise unfortunately
There some great sculpts out there for printing

You can just print out on card paper and fold them up. If you really want to play the game.

So it's never about the game. It's about playing with the models that you can be proud of.

I like your broad view on 3D prints. It's often just YES or NOO

Acetone vapor will turn all your prints from brittle to bendy.

Good advice regarding delicate models, I'll keep my Necrons legit but I do like those C'tan models
