Worcester: Montgomery Hydraulic Elevator @ Worcester Regional Airport

This is the Montgomery Hydraulic Elevator, in the SUPER-BUSY Worcester Regional Airport, Worcester, Massachusetts.
The ride is faster than advertised on the certificate, more like 125FPM, instead of the 95 listed. It goes down even faster. Ride quality is very good. The floor counter matches the airport quite well: DEAD.
This was taken during peak operating hours, believe it, or not. MassPORT REQUIRES this airport remain open at all times.
This did have a couple major carriers, but they all left. Suposedly, another one will come in the near future. It's cursed, though.
The airport, as a whole, will not close, as it's useful as a municipal one (recreational/small planes).

When it's done-done, I'll head over, and see some of my own handywork (I calibrate one of the parts used in the KONE escalators. That's all I'll say).

I think there's more people walking in the middle median on the Daniel Webster Highway, than visit the airport.

That terminal was perhaps the most deserted terminal I've ever seen. A bit unsettling, but pleasing nonetheless.

They are Monties, not sure of "Twinkie-M", as the actual machines and steps were identical.

Walking in the middle median on DWH? I was in Nashua yesterday. Saw nobody walking on the middle median, never have in the past. AND I GO THERE SO OFTEN! Also, I think PLM renovations are done, but I wasn't there yesterday, so I am not sure, but for the most part they're done.

...yet the State requires this airport to remain open. For the little planes, and rec fliers, sure, but the full-service airport? Not really.

People probably hit the alarm accidentally twice in the elevator during their visit to Penneys Home in Nashua more often than people come to this airport.

I am assuming the escalators are Montgomery Twinkie-M, and also I believe the Airport has Direct Airlines.

Wow. Manchester, also a regional airport, is PACKED almost 24/7, even at 4:30 am. (NO SARCASM!) [Yes, I was at Manchester Airport at 4:30 am.]

I'll work on keeping you informed. All they did to the stupid main elevator there is paint the exterior white. AND THEY SAY IT WILL BE A NEW ONE. Those liars over at Simon are complete dumbheads, they say there will be a new glass elevator where the existing one is and all they do is paint the outside of the existing one white.
