Worcester: Montgomery HIGHdraulic Elevator @ Former Galleria/Outlet Mall [RED #2] DEATH TRAP!!

They fixed that first one I tried to ride a few weeks ago, and after this experience, I wish it was still broken.
This is almost identical to the smaller one I uploaded, but it's wider, with center-open doors. The ride was terrible, as the elevator vibrated and semi-violently shook most of the way, especially down to 1.
This one is a bonifide DEATH TRAP. If you use this garage, don't use the center-open elevator in the Red Section (unless you're feeling lucky!!)!

When you say "For an elevator so old I'm surprised they have sensors". It probably originally had bumpers and then I see that KONE replaced the sensors.

It was doing that since 2006, for the most part.

The mall, and 60% of this garage, will be replaced with new roads, and highrise office, retail, and residential space.
One office building was suposed to open in 2012, but since that part of the mall is still standing, I have serious doubts that'll happen.

I was surprised, being that they went through the trouble, as the Outlets were doing very badly at the time, very close to it's eminent death.
I knew it was a mod, just surprised they actually DID that. I do remember the old bumbers on these (and ran a LOT better).

You have to know where to look, but the camera drew a phantom white line in the video. It was only there for a single frame.
That UltraHD does it a lot more often now.

Somewhat left, that line. You'd be right.
In the viewfinder, when shooting this, it stuck out like a sore thumb.

What I don't get, is they didn't allow any time form floor selection, before parking. This happens in the revisit, when I was with a TV crew.

Same title as this one, except it's Red#1, and I questioned it "Death Trap?
I just copied and pasted the title of the first one, and used it here, and made those two changes.

In a matter of a couple years, nobody will see it that way anymore, because it'll be gone.
Asbestos and Lead Paint abatement is happening right now (2/21/11).
