I use MY Spotmatic purchased in 1972 with 10 Takumar fixed focal length lenses 17-300mm. Needs no batteries, other that the lightmeter (which I usually don't use). Nothing to go wrong! I also shoot a 5x7 Korona built in about 1925. It also doesn't use batteries. My third camera is my IPhone. it is great! I wonder if it will last as long as my Spotmatic or Korona? Thank you for your comments about equipment.

Right on! I always try to get it right in camera. I don't spend any more than 60 seconds on any one image in post. Post is a lot like women's makeup: a little goes a long way; and you're never done. What if your laptop screen isn't tilted the same way twice? I'm a photographer, not a photo re-toucher. I'm never sorry I went, when I can get out. Keep up the good work!

Getting it right in camera has saved me a bunch of times. The number one tip from me is to slow down - something I am terrible at.
