Subbed right away...best and most scientific comparison between the a7iii and a7iv I have seen to date by far...I currently own the a7iii and I love it, but I have been doing more video work and needed a beefier video or cinema focused camera...I think honestly am just going to keep the a7iiii and just get the fx3 or a7s3 also the new gh6 looks amazing but that would mean new lenses and so on smh

Tremendous review and effort on this video! Thanks for the time and work you put into your videos. I’m not a Sony boy, but still enjoyed this video. I used to be a huge Sony ‘Fanboy, ’ but the last straw was when they dropped out of the Market and stopped making their Clie’s. Palm products virtually dried up overnight. Oh well, I digress...

I was looking into these cameras and was deciding if I should go for the a7iii or a7iv, this video does help alot with my decision making, a7iv would be the way to go with its superior autofocus and colour science.

Thanks for the video. It looks like the IV has some better color quality. I don't know how to describe it other than that. Just looks better, but as you pointed out there is some more noise. Thanks for the comparison!

Great video! Would have loved to see some extreme lowlight still photography comparisons. For low light live music photography with a lot of movement which of these 2 cameras would be best for this? I keep reading myths that the a7iii performs better for lowlight still photography due to it haven’t fewer pixels. I will only be using the images for social media posts and not printing at larger sizes. Which option would you recommend? Any guidance would be much appreciated. Hi, I've never seen such an incredibly perfect comparison video. Thanks for sharing it. I just sold my camera, may I ask you a question? I don't know if you've only compared Sony cameras. But for someone like me who only makes 4K documentaries around the world and carrying only a zoom lens, which camera would you recommend?
I go to remote areas to document indigenous peoples in their villages in Asia, South America and Africa.
If you were me, which camera would you buy?

The solution to low light is not a low light camera. It's to add light :)
So many people keep buying 1.4, 1.8 lenses and low light cameras for thousands of dollars but they could have just bought a 300-500 dollar light instead.

If you want to shoot dark/night scenes with low iso and sharp video, shoot it in the daytime using a filter to make it look night time then edit in post.

You could go to ISO100k or above right away for low light. ISO5k is not enough.
