2:18 The APS-C Crop Factor is closer 1.5 on Sony Cameras (it is close to 1.6 on Canon). Sony A7iv, FF: 7008 x 4672. APS-C: 4608 x 3072. Crop Factor = 1.521

Focus map is blue when sth is out of focus behind your object and red shows area out of focus in front if your object. Thigs that are in focus are without any colors 😃

Some of these reasons don’t make sense because half of the things mentioned are already in the a7sIII 🤨. There are only 2 reasons I would switch and that’s the high MP and Crop Mode. I hope the a7sIV has at least 24MP. The only things missing from the a7sIII are anamorphic mode, open gate, crop mode, and 24MP for it to be my perfect camera

Great video, all valid points, you are misunderstanding the focus mapping though. Anything without coloured squares is pin sharp. Light blue is slightly further away from focus, blue is further away than that, orange is slightly in front of focus red is really in front of focus.

you can also map on previous Sony cameras ISO to be on dial ring (no need to press ISO button and select ISO) just turn you dial ring

a7siii + a7iv = 6355$, why not just get the Sony A1 at that point?

The reason I got the A7IV over the A7SIII/FX3 is that the A7IV fixed the green-yellow roll-off everyone complained about (i.e. dslr shooter). The colors are better tuned than A1 or A7SIII/FX3 (According to G.U.) and in my own experience the colors are great

I love the A74. One of the easiest cameras to use I've ever owned. It's awesome.

The focus breathing is not on every lens, only certain sony lenses

So it seems you were unhappy with the 4k quality of the A7siii? Is the difference in sharpness that important to you? Honestly I find it sharp enough. Most of the features will come to the A7siii via a firmware update. If you cannot tell the difference between the HD 120 fps for the A7iv and 4k 120 A7siii does it not contradict your view on sharpness?

Just to add something.
The Focus breathing compensation is still mostly working for GM lens and some of G lens. it is still not working for any third party lens just yet.
