Genial einfach einmalig.. meine Jugend und meine Musik und mein Leben. Stones für immer. Was gibt's heute, nichts was den allen von damals das Wasser reichen kann. Karin. Bin damit groß geworden und bin stolz auf diese Zeit die uns nie wieder erreichen wird und unvergessen in uns weiter leben lebt. Karin

John Lennon mentioned the "Rock and Roll circus several times in interviews and wondered why the Stones never released it. John never got a chance to see his performance on the show due to his death in 1980.

You got to admit. When Paul saw this he must have been pissed!!! I could imagine him wondering how the RS got a hold of him and just play “behind his and the Beatles back”🤣

Improv comedy at its finest. Jagger as an American journalist interviewing a British rock star named after Churchill. The passing of the plate is an inside joke about a Stones album. John is serving Mick a half eaten plate of Chinese takeout with a pair of chopsticks as a nod to Beggar's Banquet.

Lennon was far too smart for Jagger.
"You've read my file"
Rock'n'Roll Circus is an amazing piece of 1960s music history with some of the greatest ever artists. The Rolling Stones put on a great show with mostly their Beggars Banquet material and Jumping Jack Flash, also You Can't Always Get What You Want.
The Dirty Mac, John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards and Mitch Mitchell play Lennon's Yer Blues brilliantly, and Dirty Mac is along with the Travelling Wilbury's the 2 greatest supergroups ever.
The Who really steal the show with the definitve version of A Quick One (While He's Away).
The Get Back Documentary is a brilliant piece of history of the greatest band of all time.
Don't Look Back is a great Dylan documentary from his 1965 uk tour.
Also, Behind the Mirror (i forget the title, i've lent my copy to my brother, but i know it's something to do with mirror) with all of Dylan's Newport Festival appearances, culminating in his 1965 electiric perfomance and 2 great acoustic tracks when he's coerced to come back on stage, he sings brilliant versions of Mr Tambourine Man and It's All Over Now Baby Blue.
Great 1960s pieces of history.
Also, the Monterey Festival and of course Woodstock.
The '60s were the greatest. They gave us so much, The Beatles (greatest band ever), The Rolling Stones (a close second to the Beatles), Bob Dylan (with the Beatles and Stones makes up for 3 of the all time greatest artists), The Who, The Kinks, The Byrds, Them, The Animals, The Yardbirds, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Simon and Garfunkel, Donovan, Traffic, Procul Harum, The Doors, Velvet Underground, Love, Jefferson Airplane, Buffalo Springfield, The Zombies, The Band, The Small Faces, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Van Morrison, Curtis Mayfield, Neil Young, David Bowie, these, some of the greatest artists ever all come out of the 1960s and a lot of others.
