As soon as he heard the word Charlie, mick started smiling, they were together for over 60 years before Charlie passed

Saw the Stones 12 times. Miss Charlie. This is one guy who kept so quiet and was so humble and proud to be one of the band.

I was at the first Rolling Stones show in St. Louis after Charlie died. It was very sad. People brought signs about Charlie. Mick almost started crying and Keith reached out and held his hand. It wasn't the best Stones show I've ever seen, but it was the most emotional.

Mick is right. You can feel a loss even when you didn't know them well or even know them. We all need heroes and people we admire. Some celebrity deaths don't affect me and some make me cry and feel a deep loss, though I never knew them. It must be hard to lose a bandmate.

That’s a great question. They basically grew up together, and experienced something very few of us, will understand.

Hard to believe he's 80. Still rocking like a 25 year old. Amazing.

As you get older, what you start noticing is that the familiar things in your life start disappearing over time. Something as simple as a phone booth. But it is cumulative. One small thing after another. Until one day you suddenly realize that the world that you are living in is completely foreign. You still see the same mistakes being made though. We never really learn. Every generation has to learn the hard way. By the time they have learned it, they have become irrelevant and are resigned to observing the next generation make the same mistakes. That is the one thing that never changes.

❤ I'm sorry Charlie died, of course. He was the perfect drummer for them! ❤ I go way back with the Stones, they've been my favorite band since I first heard I'm a King Bee back in '64 or whenever it was. Love the Beatles, but I was a Stones guy and I've converted many people to my way of thinking over the years.❤❤

When I was a young man the value of time was opposite to what I had left, as I thought, to live but as a much older man what I have left has become of much more value, to me, but mick it appears had that value when he was much much younger hooray for mick god bless when we lose such valuable artist, John mayalll, Tony mcphee, Brian Jones, Charlie Watts, Ronnie Lane, Steve marriot, Alvin Lee, Ray Charles, howlun wolf, captain beefheart, jimi hendrix etc, let us all appreciate the true magic of the gift of life to us all from above to express our love wishes feelings rhythm intentions to make it all better, live in hope lovexxx❤️❤️

It is inspirational how Mick and Kieth deal with getting old! They are so upbeat and positive! I truly admire that.

Oh Mick, I have loved you since I was 14 years old! You are so right, the people we knew literally all of our lives just start to disappear. So many of my heroes are now gone. You are one of my heroes and I want you to live to 100!!
