Furio is a man of passion and discipline, you can see it in the way he prepares a meal he’s only going to eat for himself. Tony is a fat slob and a child and this is how they expressed. This was fun to pick up on after rewatching it

This is another brilliant 'show don't tell' scene from the Sopranos. The same happens when Paulie and Johnny Sack are talking at a fancy restaurant, and Johnny Sack is enjoying his 'adult' desserts of cognac and coffee, while Paulie is eating a childs treat of chocolate moose.
In this we see Furio, long seen as actually a rather cultured and self-sufficient man, sitting along and thinking of a woman he secretly loves, while Tony is shambling around his palace yelling out for her to come and assist him. Then, Furio goes and prepares a relatively simple but delicious Spaghetti Aglio e Olio himself and enjoys it with a side of red wine. Tony, meanwhile, shoves left-overs into a microwave and eats it with milk like the barbarian he is.
