The iPhone SE 2 was just released last week and after using it for a week straight, I wanted to compare it to the other cheapest available iPhone from Apple, the iPhone XR.

In this comparison/review, we discuss the 2020 iPhone SE battery life, performance, usability, display, sound quality, things I miss and much more...all compared to the 2018 iPhone XR.

I love the front design of the SE. It's what I mentally associate with "iPhone". For some reason the new iPhones look like fancy Androids to me. I love the old era of Apple design!

I picked up the SE Product Red edition and I have to say I'm over the moon with it. Very smooth device with exceptional performance. Its been a long time since I had an iPhone as I've been Android for a few years, so I'm not tired of the bezels and actually still enjoy the design. Definitely recommend it if you're on the fence.

SE is perfect for me. It’s cheap, great camera and best processor in any phone. Screen size wouldn’t be a huge factor for me as I use an iPad Air 2 for most of my media consumption like YouTube and gaming etc. Also the smaller battery is a small factor for me because I plan to use a battery case with it an an 18W fast charger so I’ll always have juice!

I went from the 6 to the SE and it’s a huge upgrade for me at least😂

I got my iPhone SE on the first day it came out. While I've had a few Apple products before (iPod, Touch, and & iPad), this was my first iPhone. My biggest concern was going to be the screen size and being able to use it, as I have pretty big hands. However, after the first few days, I didn't miss it. When I went back to my old Android phone (Moto G7) to get some passwords I had saved on there, I was shocked at how big it felt in my hand.

After getting used to the smaller screen, I have been nothing but pleased with my SE. And to be honest, I'm actually spending less time on my screen and spending my time being more productive, since as he mentioned in the video, not as good for videos. I watch them occasionally, but don't binge like I used to. So if you're looking for a great phone that doesn't break the bank, or maybe looking for something that will help you not stay on as long, I highly recommend the iPhone SE 2020.
