I watch these for honest reviews. The simmers I watch always say “it’s amazing” about every pack so thanks for your honesty

You said you'd put up a spoiler warning before telling us

Now I know exactly how many chairs are in this pack!

Tfw you're more excited for LGR's review than the actual pack when EA announces new packs for TS4

Sims 2: Strange Town
Sims 4: Stranger Ville

I'm a bit bummed that you can just solve the mystery in just a few hours and then there's no need to go back. At least in the Jungle Adventure game pack, there are reasons to go back to the rain forest to explore the different type of dungeon layout and discover another relic with unique powers. But I still kinda like the pack for its weirdness theme because that's why I like The Sims universe in the first place lol.

Sims 3 World Adventures gave you 3 towns and tons of different adventures that each took longer than an hour to complete, plus kung fu, playable mummies, snake charming, wine making, relic hunting, boulder smashing, and dungeon construction. Sims 4 Strangerville gives you *one* "town" with ONE adventure that only lasts an hour, and two "new" things Sims 3 actually had in base game (Laptops and Military Career). Talk about devolution. >.>

The biggest problem I have with the Sims four is that it’s all stuff we’ve had before. A example in the Sims three you could be in the military right off the bat but in order to get the military career or you have to spend $20 with this pack. It’s like they put little things that they know people want in these big Mundane packs

It’s such a good idea, but executed so badly. They should have applied more of the Jungle Adventure method. Multiple aspirations and skills, collections, variants on play through... this is just, as you said, a new town with an hour and a half of new gameplay.

4:13 Planting bugs on sims gives good reputation? What? lol

i'm rewatching all of these and i just realized how lame the ending is. like, ok... it's a huge "mother plant" but like, where did it come from? who runs the lab if it's always empty with no guard? did whoever runs the lab create the mother? we don't know what it is, where it came from or how it works. and there's no consequences for defeating it, like wouldn't whoever runs the lab be pretty pissed that you killed it? :/

Ahh finally an honest review

Edit: I wish that Bella goth with involved with the story line than the stranger things as I never really got into stranger things and I feel like EA missed out on making a more interesting game pack

I feel like the new wave of devs on the sims team have no respect or interest in keeping the history of the sims games alive.

Omg, I nearly spit my tea when you said this was the 27th pack. SIMmer down, EA!

What is LGR without a good old The Sims 4 video....

This comment regards spoilers discussed in the last few minutes of the video. Since he put in a spoiler alert, so will I.

I'm honestly glad that they went for a shallow pop-culture reference that will have lost its charm in a few years rather than making a follow-up to an existing aspect of an old beloved game. The less association EA makes with its pre-evil past, the better. At least then they're not digging up quite as many graves as they already are.

I have to hand it to you clint, that's some smart ad placement.

*Spoiler Alert*

I hesitated on watching the ending of the vid, because I was contemplating buying this game, but now I’m definitely not. I was so hoping there were some ties to Strangetown. I don’t care about Stranger Things, and the fact that they basically copied that show really gets on my nerves. They could have done something really unique and cool with the Strangetown storyline and tied it in with Bella Goth. I feel like they really screwed up here, and chose to franchise on a super popular tv show rather than creating an interesting sim storyline. That’s literally the only reason I was excited for this pack was because I thought it had ties to Sims 2. Ugh- *sigh*

SPOILERS - thoughts on ending

The revel of what the “mystery” was was so lackluster to me. For a game with aliens, vampires and all you would expect more or for a game with so much hype around it i was expecting something more groundbreaking. A little monster in a cave was just a lazy ending

I've loved Sims since I first played the original Sims almost 20 years ago. But aside from the graphics improvements, I really don't see any reason to get Sims 4. I technically own the base game (a friend gave me a digital copy when it first came out), but I could never stand to play it for more than a couple hours before I always found myself closing the game and launching Sims 3. And from what I've seen of the Sims 4 DLC... I really don't see any incentive to rush out and get any of them.
