He couldn't finish cooking because he was done cooking. The last step was him dumping it onto a plate on the counter. Which he couldn't do because all th available counter space was taken. You just needed to put it in the fridge first to clear up some counter space. Then your clownslave would be a proper chef =)

I really do like the new Build Mode. That was always my least favorite part of the previous Sims games, as it felt more like work than play. The room purchasing and wall stretching in this game, though, take a lot of that chore-like feeling away. If only you didn't have to unlock so much of it. And if only I could terraform the landscape. And if only....

I feel like I'm one of the few people who enjoy Sims 4 more than dislike it. I always played Sims because I always loved creating myself, or an atrocity and just seeing their life play out. I never really cared for designing houses and having an ass-ton of items. (don't get me wrong though I love building houses and decorating them) I'm sure with the expensive DLC they had finished before the base game was even finished; will add what's missing and hopefully from community feedback we'll have a pretty great Sims game.
