It genuinely makes my day when a new video from Tom pops up, I have watched them all multiple times, fantastic stuff.

12 hours of your time....thousands of hours of satisfied watchers' time. It's such a pleasure to watch you bring back the beauty. Thank you.

I suspect I am not alone in worrying about the many aspects of our society that have begun to break down. I take great comfort in the belief that Tom's aesthetic, work ethic, focus on re-use and restoration, etc. will all become much more widely appreciated in the years to come. Not only his many projects but his encyclopedic knowledge will be with us for generations. What an immense treasure.

Thanks Ella, for keeping an eye on our Tom!
And thanks Tom, for that ‘tools I used’ shot at the end. Nice addition.👍
(Of course, wonderful job as usual.)

Hey Thomas, I was just going to watch a movie on Netflix (it's about 10 pm) and saw your new episode so I decided to watch. Much more entertaining than a Netflix movie.

Lars was obviously a talented recreational wood-worker. Judging from his life dates and its style, I'd guess that this piece is from the Art Deco period of the 1920s/30s. I can imagine him rummaging through his lumber scraps for these many colours and grains of wood; especially in the tabletop. I'm sure that, if you and he were from the same times, you'd have enjoyed each others' company. Your video proves that a wood-worker can never have too many clamps! Congratulations on this restoration. Happy New Year to all the followers of Thomas Johnson Antiques Furniture Restoration.

In a world gone absotootly mad, I find great comfort and assurance with your videos. Your practiced calm demeanor and the "let's see if this works..." attitude are consistent and productive! Your skills and patience are pretty good, too--but you have to know that old black dog just steals the whole show! Thank you for your great contribution to my sanity.

The gentleman who built this piece was far more than a hobbyist. You did a great job restoring this piece.

What an amazing little table. So much love, talent and work went into making that. You have brought it back to life for the next 100 years. Your supervisor clearly approves 😊

I’m firmly of the opinion that Lars would approve and so do I. This was a distinct pleasure to witness. Thank you for sharing, Tom.

Lovely to see a new video for the new year! And I'm wondering how many viewers guess the enormous amount of work going into producing this type of video. We've grown up with movies, tv etc., and forget that these projects generally take a lot of money and many people to produce. Most YouTubers have themselves and a couple of helpers if they're lucky. Not to mention the stress of deciding when and how much to post and deciding which has priority. We're so blessed to have such masters leaving us an incomparable history of fine craft work. Thank you Thomas, and your helpers, especially the doggie ones!

You can rest assured Lars is smiling down happy with the care and attention to detail you gave this piece. You can tell Lars made this with love. It is just stunning and a wonderful family heirloom the family can be very proud of. Emma is such a great supervisor!

Can't imagine how happy it would make me to know something I made was still so cherished by my descendants all those years later.

What a lovely piece, amazing colours to be brought out. Speaking of colour once again I'm entranced by your colour matching.
You really did justice to its creator... and so did dear pup posing next to it. 🤗
Another absorbing watch, your close-ups really are so much appreciated, thank you for taking such trouble with your filming Master Johnson

Happy to find a new offering from TJAFR. I have seen a number of videos by craftsmen with excellent skills and serious commitment to their craft. But you, Tom, are in a class by yourself. There is no one else like you personally or professionally. You stand alone.

"...I'm pushing it." It's the little things that make me smile. This was a nice project for us to enjoy in starting off the new year. Thank you.
