Tanks for the info Naam, sadly I got denied for the pledge loan because I had a CC with them that I couldn’t pay becuase I went through a financial hardship and they sent it to collections so their reason was that I caused a loss to them, I’m paying the balance with the collection company because the rep told me to do it that it would help, I hope that it help me out in the future to be able to use their products.

Quick question:

Given my longstanding relationship with Navy Federal since 2008, including a personal checking and savings account with bi-weekly direct deposits and regular transfers to savings, plus recently opening two certificates, what are my realistic chances of being approved for a Navy Federal credit card given your experience?

I'm actively working to improve my credit score, which is currently at 574 according to TransUnion, and have sent out the first round of letters to address this. I would appreciate an honest assessment of my situation? Thank you!

Take care of yourself and stay safe 🙏

Hey Naam, recently I was turned down for a credit card increase on my NFCU cash rewards. Not sure of the reason but I waited 90 days with on-time payments and their reason is because of OTHER accounts outside of NFCU...I was pretty disappointed and now I'm stuck with a card with only a 500 limit. Not happy at all. But my scores are better but I just don't want to apply for another card... I just want to increase this limit.

So I’ve been with Navy Fed for about 6 years bc of the military, I used to have direct deposit for about 5 of those years and only the past year I haven’t due to my job only does hard checks so I only deposit cash into my account now. I’ve never pulled any loans and I’ve gotten my mom to join and less than a year I’ve increased my credit over 100 points. What are the chances of me getting a 44k loan with a 610 credit score. I make about 6.4K monthly and already have a car under my name. If anyone have any advice or answers

I’ve had my flagship card for a little over a 1 1/2 and I just applied for my second increase and they denied it. My balance is so low. I’m only with a $1500 credit limit. My balance is only about $70 on the card right now and I use it every month With 100, 000 year income I don’t know why they denied me that’s ridiculous to me. I have a car loan that I pay on time every month for over a year now I have 1500 about my flagship checking account. I don’t get it sometimes.

Great video! Thank you!!! I do have a question. I am cleaning my credit up now. I only have a bankruptcy from 2/22 that was dismissed w/o prejudice and with a 0 balance showing on my credit. I am having it removed before I apply for a card or car loan. Any suggestions or advice. And if I have Lexis Nexis, Sage Stream frozen how will that effect my approval odds? Thank you so much in advance.

Hey Naam, I am looking to increase the limit on my flagship credit card. I've had overdrafts/negative balances in the past, but I now carry a high balance in my flagship checking account. Is all hope lost for me to get this increase or is there a way around being denied. I've been a member for 2+ years and have pledge loans with them. I've had the flagship for almost 2 years and have a $0 balance. Also since joining I've racked up a little student debt, should I pay this down before applying?

Don't EVER file a BK with Navy Fed, they never forgive or forget and it really is to their detriment. A buddy of mine did 10 years ago and he now makes over 300 grand with every premium card out there and Navy Fed won't touch him.
