Woman Dies of Stroke After Police Did Not Believe She Was Ill

A 60-year-old woman died after being arrested for trespassing. Knoxville Tennessee Police have released more than an hour of body camera video of the arrest of Lisa Edwards. Edwards was discharged from Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center on February 5, and allegedly refused to leave the property. Hospital security called the police to remove her. Video shows Edwards insisting she was unwell and needed medical attention. Responding officers did not believe her. She died the next day.

The fact that the doctors supported the false dismissal of excessive police force which might triggered her stroke is beyond disgusting.

The hospital close to my home tried telling my mom 2 different times that her chest pain was heart burn. They even tried convincing me that she was exaggerating. She ended up needing a double bypass. I have a hard time trusting most doctors these days.

My grandma just passed away a month ago from a stroke at home. If the police did this to my grandma I would have sued them for every penny they have

She is released from the hospital while stating she is still not well, so she stays at the hospital. The hospital then calls the police to remove her and the police come to remove the "dead weight" on "the lord's day" only to also disregard her repeated requests for help, and soon after she dies. The lack of empathy in this whole situation is disgusting. I hope they all get what's coming to them in a civil suit.

So the hospital staff kicked her out and then the cops arrest her as she’s pleading for help… then when she’s passed out, dying, they shake her head around and accuse her of faking. Disgusting people all around.
