i've been running this scope for 8 months. It's super simple, no frills, but WORKS.

I bought one of these back in September and put it on a custom hunting rifle. Tracking is perfect. Size and weight are spot on for me. I don't want a 24oz scope on a 7lb hunting rifle. I'm not into the ballistic reticle game, at least for hunting. Most of them are too fine for my eyes, so I like the regular duplex type reticle. The scope has the best field of view of any 3-9 scope I could find, 45 ft at 3x at 100 yds. Most 3-9 scopes are 32-34 ft at 100 yds. Eye relief at 3.5" is good on my light .308. Glass is excellent and bright during the day and in the late evening (almost dark) from the back of my deck looking at the farm behind the house, seemed decent as well. in the rain all day Sunday (from a shooting house), it seemed that resolution and contrast were lost past 250 yds in the late afternoon around 4pm.. But only in the rainy conditions. It very well could have just been my eyes though, after a 9 hour sit. MSRP on this scope is $420. Of course they can be found cheaper through retail, but truthfully, I don't think that I'd pay more than $300 or so for it. I got mine at $317 and feel that's a fair price. I wouldn't pay $400 for it. In the $300 range, it's a excellent scope. Enough so that if they offered any of the higher end lines with the same duplex reticle, I'd give them a run too. Alas, none of the higher end scope offer such a reticle. I'm feeling at this point that I may move this over to my muzzleloader but haven't decided yet.

Thanks, Joe. Their website provides only basic info on each scope - a disappointment to a techie like me. If I were to buy a "German" scope I would start with Zeiss, and these look similar in specs as far as I can tell. Looking forward to more of your reviews.

I have been wondering about the quality of the GPO scopes for about a year. Is the Valdada G2 mini really only 24oz, and why do they start at 4.5 magnification, and not just 4. I believe the G2 mini is in my near future.

Do you think this scope is better than the vx freedom 3x9x40? I was looking for something to put on a 375 with around 4 inches of eye relief. The channel is awesome.

I purchased this exact scope with high hopes but was very disappointed with the optics, mine is very blurry around the edges and IMO the center of the reticle is too thick. Maybe i should contact GPO and see what they have to say about the blurry edges
