I like the fact that the parts move smoothly on the Signal. It has the lock to lock it shut. The Wave has to have friction otherwise it would flop around since it doesn't have a lock. Also check the thickness of the blades/tools on each. The Signal has a way thicker and stronger blade. I would pick the Signal as well. Nice comparison.

3:24 - I know it's weird but I like my tool loose(it has a lock for when it's shut anyway) I also like the pocket clip and built in carabineer.

Thanks for the video. For some reason I hadn't noticed that the Signal's handles were splayed out that wide when open. I'm going back and forth between the Signal and the Charge but I just might have to go into a store to see if that's going to be an issue for me with the Signal.

I swear by both Gerber and leatherman tools, they both have pros and cons.
I have bought two leatherman Wave/Signal used with no sheath. Leatherman are comfortable to carry in your pocket. Unlike a Gerber being big multitools make it uncomfortable especially if you have a job that demands manual labor. Leatherman have an opinion to get a pocket clip unlike Gerber. Gerber has the one hand open pliers multitool with a Spring assisted center drive multitool. When it comes to multitools, knives or guns you can’t never have enough.

Wave automatically loses every battle because when you have bigger hands the wave pinches the meat of your hand between the blade and the file. I’ve never had that issue with the Signal
