That wasn't an insurance scam. That was going to be a car jacking or a mugging. The motorist steps out of his car, and those other dudes appear behind him to jack him up.

In the US, you are responsible for opening your door in traffic so there’s no scam to be had.

The trailer with the car on it wasn't in the video as the cammer was approaching the silver car. Then it appeared when the camera was reversed.
