This fuel line neuters the Cummins air intake system

preview_player
Показать описание
The stock fuel delivery arrangement on the RAM Cummins 6.7 engine causes a massive restriction on the intake elbow feeding air to the manifold. Even so-called "performance" intake elbows from other companies seem to sacrifice airflow for the sake of not touching the stock fuel line. The Banks Monster-Ram not only provides an 88.3% increase in mass airflow over stock, but it also includes a new #1 fuel line to allow for unobstructed airflow.

This is the difference between an engineer who designs at a desk, and an engineer who designs in the shop

Great work again banks!

Just installed- engine seems to run more efficiently. I notice less throttle input to get to the same acceleration pace and speed as before. Even better I notice a real world MPG increase of almost 1.5MPG, (based on the trucks gauge), and it has only been 4 days. Did not reset with the change just left it to see what happened. Still seems to be improving. For reference it is a 2014 with 150k miles, emissions intact no other modifications to the engine and I owned it since new. I know this truck inside and out.

This man loses sleep over things like this. That's what makes a good engineer 👏

"but this one's mine"

spoken like a true dad/mechanic/professional that loves _all_ of his "babies"

Gale Banks is a treasure. He is the difference between someone who plays an engineer who makes a part that just fits, and a real engineer who has the common sense to not only make it fit, and then not only make it work but who knows how to make it perform as well!

The first fast diesel I saw was back in 2001 when a Chevy Suburban came in the shop with a 6.5 turbo diesel and it was loaded out under the hood with a full Banks kit. When that fella left the shop he got down on it and that sumbitch lit up 35” BFGoodrich all terrain tires like they were a basic white wall tire and then disappeared down the road with a quickness. Gale Banks is an absolute legend!

True story the early 80s my dad took me out to meet him. I was trying to get advice from Bill and Ford engine. I asked him how did the Ford single overhead camera run? He said it was crap. The blocks could not handle nitro methane I thought he was just being a Chevy lover over the years I read up he was totally telling the truth about that 427 engine block, this man is a walking. Legend, he knows so much information. Very good dude.

Gale banks has always been an automotove genius. Have just about every part he makes on my 3rd gen cummins. His products are top notch and this is yet another video that proves it.

This guy is a genius! I don’t even have one of these trucks and I would buy this. Nice simple explanation!

I literally said out loud “wouldn’t it be easier to just make a new fuel line? 🤦🏽‍♂️” and immediately after he said SO WE MADE OUR OWN! 😂

I don't know beans from bullcrap when it comes to automotive work. I enjoy your videos and feel smarter because of you. Thanks for passing on your knowledge and your years of being an awesome engineer.

First thing I thought of was to move the fuel line! Love the way this man thinks. He builds what is needed, not sacrificing performance.

$5 fuel line in the complr casting that restricts performance is the solution.
Way to go engineers....you showed you superior intellect once again

Banks is the best in the business. A little bit of flash but tons of dyno work to back it up. I'm still grateful for the oversized diff cover comparison. Who knew it could cost HP to have extra gear oil slamming around?! Banks knew. And he clued us in. 👍
