I just ordered a pair of Aplha 1 Elites's on discount. Mizuno is becoming my go-to brand very much for their philosophy of subtle tweaks over constant major re-design. Because when I find something I like, I don't want to keep starting over again and again.

MIZUNO SIZING TIP: Just measure your foot in cm its the most accurate way I measured my slightly longer foot at 27.4 got a 275 japan size (do the conversion to your size) fits literally perfect stop tryna guess half or full size these shoes are expensive for all that

I'm glad i'm not the only one who's between sizes for the Alpha. It's almost like they expect the boots to get a quarter size bigger after breaking in.

My Alpha Japan 1’s are finally falling apart after 2 years of consistent football. Build quality has been incredible and I’m sure the Alpha 2 will be the same. I just hope the new upper is a bit grippier in wet conditions than the first generation. I think that’s the only situation where the Alpha fell behind the competition. Otherwise, near-perfect boot.

This is what i love so much about mizuno.

Instead of trying to reinvent the wheels every year like every other brands, they simply improve perfection. At least two steps forward, one step back, is still a step forward.

Sadly also the reason why casuals will never pay attention to mizuno: because they'll never have that brand new hot spanking model every year.

Great review, very much enjoyed this. Small changes add up over time. I think it'll be more noticeable in the next gen. Unfortunately, while I understand what Mizuno's positioning is when it comes to pricing but that doesn't change the fact that Mizuno seems to be sticking when the need to twist. Basically, dropping their prices would do some good IMO

I wish my local shop carried Mizuno. I’m usually between 2 sizes and I hate having to order 1 size then return it for another size with the possibility that it’s even worse for my foot.
