I did Linux training with CBT Nuggets, and then I watched this. In less than half the time of CBT, I learned just as much, and easier. Good intro video.

I'm so excited for people to be able to learn Linux with such easy tutorials for beginners these days! I got started with Mandriva, Red Hat then Slackware over 14 years ago and my very first book was Linux for Dummies... haha. No shame.. now I'm a Linux Admin and the money isn't half bad! BTW, it's a lot of fun and you will learn much more about how operating systems function as a whole from the kernel up. How an OS functions from it's core, the kernel.

Happy Tuxing you guys! Cheers! :)

A great tip is always tab completion. That way you don't type in anything that isn't allowed or exists, hence you avoid doing something unintented, like when you want to edit a file and accidentally type in the wrong file name. This will create a new file with that new file name and show you an empty file, which might throw you off a bit.

Finally, a show whose purpose seems to be to MAKE hackers and ninja rather than one that assumes you are already one. Thank you to whoever thought this up. And, thank you Snubs for doing a nice job presenting it. (even if the slash direction was wrong) ;?)

Loving the terminal tips :D There's something in there for every1, most of us are self-taught and may have missed heaps of important and/or easier way2do fundamentals. PLUS Snubs is hot, and makes the topic that much more interesting :D

I agree with neoKushan about the forward slash being called a backslash. I knew what she meant but a novice user will not. Other than that, I love this girl, she has a teaching ability and made things easy to remember. Love the videos.
