I like to have characters interact with clothing. And also the characters that I draw are characters from my books and they have established personalities and quirks like I have no idea how many times I've written where my male lead pushes his hair back so I've drawn him fiddling with his hair which he's also uncomfortable with because it was longer before the events of the book.

Hi, first of all, I love these tips. All of the poses are boring, to say the least, and this has really helped, but I am wondering if you could do a video on prospective posing? 😅

"off balance. Good point of reference is the head is usually over the heals, but when character is running or something then don't do that" [character in question currently has head over a heel so still makes that correct] I understand this is a specific example I just kinda find it ironic how it still ended up working as advice even if it really only works for this one pose

Thus is the first video ofbyoyrs I've seen, and your style is so life-like! It inspires me to see so much detail snd life in drawings that seemed to not have even phased the artist, like this is second-nature to them ♡

I'm going to subscribe for future advice, as well as to see more of your artwork; these are things i never considered when i was attempting to draw o:

Personally I think keeping them off balance is bad advice, when you say just that without explaining. It has to be done right, like how people say you have to learn the rules to break them? Speaking from my own beginner artist experience, a lot of beginners poses look like they are going to fall over while still being stiff. I think its important to learn how make characters look balanced and like they're actually standing on the ground properly before you start going into learning how to do unrealistic dynamic poses. Otherwise it'll be so much harder to get that unbalanced look to look right/intentional. But ofc its art you can do whatever u want, this is just my opinion.

Does your brush use pen roll? I really like how your flat pen adds line weight. just curious how your settings are for the brush to look like that.
