In my opinion discord has gone downhill, but since most people use discord its hard to switch to anything else

Microsoft has the touch of death everything they get involved with dies. It's insane how many products they have given up on. Even their OS is awful.

Another reason is because Microsoft focused too much on trying to make it a social platform, while users wanted clean and simple video calls. It’s also why zoom exploded.

Skype got deconstructed from specialty services. Skype used to be for business, gaming and quick video calls. Now Teams serves the business purposes because it is simply so much better at that, high office integration, many tools for groups to work together and many conference call settings. Discord has gaming specific features like channels, streaming games etc. Zoom is the clear choice when you need to talk to someone quickly and probably once, just get the link to join a call or conference with someone outside your organisation.

Skype 3.8 was the best lol I miss Skype cast it was packed with many people from around the world and it was easy to make friends and meet. I loved it we use to have conferences calls with 10 people and we had a blast!!!! Oh the memories 😊

Dude, the audio quality of Skype is unparalleled by any other applications, especially not by Discord - that shit wasn't _grown on trees_ either. 🤷🏻‍♂️
