Kurt wasn't afraid because he saw you put the foil down. He trusts you and knew you wouldn't do anything to harm him. He says if my Dad is OK with all this aluminum foil, even though it looks strange, then I'm good with it too. Kurt respects and loves his Dad.

My cat likes to play with aluminium foil. We put up some foil on some windows during the summer and it was a pain to stop her from messing with it and ripping it up.
I think this might be another one of those where the element of surprise might be a big part of getting them freaked out.
