Live saver! Travelin' 'round Mexico; actuator on the sliding door not being triggered for some reason, leaving all valuables exposed while away; no idea where, here, to get it properly fixed… this was the perfect solution; very practical.

Thank you for this. My sliding door doesn't always work with the fob and it's going to take awhile before the dealership can even look at it for warranty repair. Now I can make sure it locks while awaiting repair!

Very useful if the battery needs to come out for charging or if it's planned to disconnect the battery for a long period in storage. Great trick to lock the sliding door. I'd never have thought to look at the back in a million years. Hope you got your locking sorted out.

My fuse burns out. Which makes the fob and the electric door locks not work. Your video has enabled me to secure my van now when i dont have that extra fuse. Thanks

Thank you for this video!I am having the same problem! I find that if I open slider and hold down the sensor?button while pushing lock on fob...the front doors will lock...then I do what you showed to sliding door with screwdriver...close it it’s locked!
I checked fuse...fob battery...I can’t find any info on the sliding door “contact button?” I bought it used and they had duct tape over it to hold it down....didn’t notice it till we got it home of course! Please let me know if you find a fix!🥰

I just purchased a used Pro Master van and I really love it. However, what I never really cared for dodge vehicles. Same situation, I could not lock the van until I watched your video. I spent almost two hours trying to figure it out. I must say this really sucks that you have to go through all of this just to lock your van manually. Why can't the engineers at dodge or who ever design vehicles at dodge get their head out there ass and design a simple car with a simple way to lock it. I would have just made a key lock. Something simple. This is ridiculous to have to lock your van this way.

I hate that when you unlock front it unlocks both diver and passenger door locks. easy way some can stael something or car jack you at a gas station. or drive out side atm at bank. and you can not lock passanger door if driver door is open.

Do you need to do this every time? I just installed an alarm and it will only lock two doors. I can’t believe what a problem. This is so my main question is every time you lock it you have to push those buttons?

If the back door is loose the other doors won’t lock. First look if that door or the sliding door is closed in order for the lock to work

Is there also a child safety lock on these promaster? My passenger door is able to open from the outside but not inside.

The Van we had it was the contactor in the sliding door frame side.
