Locked Keys In The Truck | How To Quickly Unlock Dodge Ram 1500 2500 3500

In this video we used a airbag shimmy and a shipping box strap to unlock a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500.

If you don't have a box strap, you can also use a long zip tie, not as good but still works.

This method should work on most vehicles with a similar design lock

Excellent, just had to do this after an hr. Of bagging door and trying to push button down, didn’t realize if keys are in ignition the power unlock button won’t work. I locked my keys in my truck and this worked like a dream. My one suggestion is to "map" your way around your weather strips using a single zip tie so it is easier to guide in the doubled/looped one.

I just did it and it worked so easy. The first time it slipped off to easily so I wrapped some duct tape (sticky side out) around the bend so it did not slip off . Open on first try with the tape. Great tip. 2017 Dodge Ram 1500

I didn't have any banding but found an old easter basket with weaving that looked like the banding that you used. The difference was that the basket weaving was kind of rubbery and that really helped give a better grip on the lock when pulling up. Worked like a charm. Thanks for the video!

I did my son inlaws 2012 dodge pickup. all doors were tight shut, I pulled on the door handle, and noticed a small square hole in the stem into the door. I took a stiff wire with a slight hook into that small square hole, and managed to reach down about 7-8 inches and hook the look connecting rod, and pulled it up.

Bruh thank you. If your door is completely shut, get a cloth and flat head to pry it open enough to get the zip tie in. That's what I had to do and it worked great.

I just used a pry bar, created a little space then used one of those plastic drain line cleaners with a loop on the end then bam 💥 open took all of 5 seconds, and most people have the drain unclogger things or perhaps a hanger would work . Maybe not, not enough grip to pull up, anyway thanks for sharing video although most people don’t have the fancy tools you used it can be jimmy rigged to work with household stuff .

What are you using? It looks some kind of plastic...perhaps a wire tie.
