I feel like this could possibly be utilized in escape rooms. With the clue being something like “this house hasn’t seen a visitor in a while, maybe you should show your smile” and it would reveal something when it turns. Maybe it starts as a normal mirror in a room, but when you change it opaque, it reveals a code or something. Idk, seems like a cool idea.

This tech is actually implemented into lrts (basically trains, but smaller and on a bridge thing) and it activates when passing by high-rise buildings so that we can't see through the resident's windows.
This is in Singapore btw.

Once again, I’ll say this: Vampires should get an eyepatch with a mirror inside to see behind theirselves... Thus, preventing some ambushes. They can’t see their own reflections, so you can call this a revolutionary item for them.
