I love when people say "oh [insert whatever here] doesn't actually hurt " because it tells me they never actually went through it. I once got a "told ya so moment" when I worked at the fare grounds. I walkex around a grate because it had wasps flying all over it, and this guy said "just walk through they don't actually hurt." So I told him to just walk through then. He got stung once and screamed like banshee

If anyone is calling this guy a crybaby, they have no idea how painful this can be. If you're an athlete or a very active person using your legs a ton, and you're not regularly treating your muscles, this is an excruciatingly painful procedure.

I currently play football (soccer) at a college level, and I used to neglect any sort of recovery training when I was more ignorant. When I started taking it seriously, that first foam rolling session was one of the most painful experiences in my life. It is still very much painful on my calves every time, but a lot better in comparison.

It hurts the first couple squeezes, then it feels good. So good, it’s a big relief, I fell asleep both times during it. The pain was the only thing keeping me awake.

This is highly unprofessional. It shouldn't start out that hard, and should be worked up. It IS extremely painful. This build up and tightness can affect the knee joint as well.

If you need another person to hold down the patient during a manual therapeutic procedure, you are doing something wrong. BTW lactic asid is neutralized by the body in about 10 minutes. They are working on muscle that has a fascia locked due to overexertion. much pressure!!!!

Just having that region dislocated already hurts, imagine having to squeeze and move it purposely like a sponge full of water pressed against a window. I myself had it dislocated once and the pain was insane before it put itself back into place, that muscle in particular is no joke ngl, probably not screaming level of pain but goddamn it hurts.
