Couple of tiny tips from an ex Taco Bell employee/mildly inspiring cook.

1. Rinse your onions before cutting them. This should eliminate the fumes.

2. When putting the ingredients on the tortilla, do so on the furthest 2/3 of the tortilla rather than directly in the middle.

This allows you to drag the ingredients into the middle, resulting in a better mix and, ultimately, a better ratio of each ingredient per bite.

Ok so it was 2:00am i’am stoned did not want to drive to Taco Bell ( cuz no one should be driving intoxicated! Even for bean burrito emergency’s!) and was like how can I punch up what I have at home looked in my cupboard and I actually had everything to make this I added bacon fat in my beans and better then Bouillon beef base like a teaspoon but did everything else the same and let me tell you I cannot and will not go back to Taco Bell even even if I was sober to do so! ROFL! Cuz this was better, this changed my life thank you for this everyone please try 🎉❤❤❤❤

If you soak and cook dry pinto beans fairly regular then save some just for this, they're light years ahead of canned it's not even funny just mash or partial blend them before following the recipe.

Adding water to the beans is the key to making it taste like a taco bell bean burrito. Very generous on the paprica-- interesting. I'll have to try this. I also like the replay of the folding of the burrito.

Taco Bell's gotten too expensive, and they don't give you too much. We're pissed about their offerings, used to be so good. Now, we can't hardly eat (each of us) for less than 10 bucks each. And, we don't get that much, but to eat around $6 bucks, you have to get only 2 or 3 things, and you have to bring a drink from home. It's just too much, and we want to learn how to do it all at home.

Looks delicious. To me there is nothing more satisfying than a good bean burrito.

You can freeze the burritos for up to 6 months. Great to take to work and warm up in a microwave.

My family loves Taco Bell bean burritos and I’m always trying to recreate them. Here’s a tip. When we make bean burritos at home we all tend to overfill them. I’ve found if I put a lot less filling they seem so much more authentic and delicious. Taco Bell uses the same method for filling.

If using canned I use Lucks Pinto Beans with Onion since half the price of refried beans. Just heat then drain half the liquid before mashing. Add a little salt, garlic powder and ground red pepper and ready to go.

we've come up with almost the exact same thing, except we put the enchilada sauce in with the beans and cook them down from there... so good!!!

How smart adding water to the beans. Never thought of this.

Nothing like going through the Taco Bell drive-thru after midnight & asking "Yeah, can I have a bean burrito with no beans?", as that gets them every time. 🤣😂🤣😂Most responses were along the lines of, "So you just want a sauce & cheese burrito?".

Humor aside, this was an exceptional video. 🍻🙏🏻🍻

ohh we keep all of that around the house except enchilada sauce, but that's easy to make. This would make a nice change from regular bean burritos (cause we eat a lot of those). Thank you for this!

Avoid lard / pig fat if you value your health. can use other things
Lots of vegetarian refried beans of just make your own.

I agree your burrito 🌯 is better than Taco 🌮 Bell’s 🔔. Eons ago (1970-71) I worked at Taco Bell. Back then the food was cooked on site. The beans 🫘 were dry, soaked overnight and cooked in sort of a pressure cooker. Back then the beans were thicker, much thicker than now. A bean 🫘 burrito 🌯 got 2 scoops of beans, essentially almost 2 cups. The rest of the contents were chopped onions, picked by hand, about an ounce of shredded (on site, in machine we cleaned 🧼 daily) cheese and a ladle of red sauce. The red sauce was red chili 🌶️ sauce with the same consistency as enchilada sauce, but with some seeds. The burritos 🌯 were folded to have one end open. Now Taco Bell gives you a huge flour tortilla with 1 scoop of runny beans

Just think of the Bank you could make if you openened up a food truck and made classic Taco Bell items from the past just change the name a little bit I’m sure they are copyrighted

Ok so pork fat is lard and the traditional rosarita refried beans already have lard in them. The thing I'm most interested in is the enchilada sauce recipe! I always get Taco Bell bean burritos with extra sauce on the side if you get in inside it pours out the bottom if you get it on the side you can pour it on top or dunk it in
