Chances are, if they hit you and you forgive them, they will do it again, and you will forgive again, coming to a point where you think you deserve it. But abusers just know what buttons to push, and what type of people to go after.
It doesn’t really matter if they regret it, since they won’t stop themselves, and it will get worse.

You have to believe that and do whatever is necessary to remove yourself from the abuser and abusive situation. Please get help and be honest about your situation. Making a deal with the devil doesn't seem like it would be appealing in the long run. I wouldn't get any joy out of it. Plus it shortens your life and you don't really get any lasting rewards.
