Agree with the recommendations for the Sterling Ink Daily planner which I have been eyeing up for journalling. It seems really versatile. I have used their common planner since early 2024 and loved it and will be sticking with it as soon as I can pick a size for next year haha It's my back up ride or die main planner. But I also have a deep love for the MD paper and am also considering the 1 day per page planners, in a5 or a6... and even though I dont think I could handle the chunk I am so tempted by the hibino which is 2 days per page in a6.

BTW you really made a good point about the undated book "feeling not permanent". I attempted to plan in an A6 Stalogy (not journal or memory keep but strictly plan) and I really didn't like it and I think that is the feeling I had. I like having a dated planner because it feels more permanent and definitive rather than just like unstructured and ephemeral

My wish of all wishes is an A6 techo in cream TRP like in the weeks. That midori codex looks amazing!

Another good idea might be the Midori Hibino. It's A6 size but two pages per day. :)

Have you seen or considered the sterling ink daily dated planner? She has an ‘undated’ one in her shop- it’s JUST dailies that are predated 👀 Maybe it has monthlies, I can’t recall, but it’s primary function is just a day per page. And no weeklies 😊

i like the sketchbook idea! last yr i copied the ours research diary layout in the weeklies and did some an art challenge prompt each day - it was pretty fun! or you can always use the weeklies if you want a bigger space to draw

I just preordered the hemlock and oak daily duo. No quotes or weekly pages so I’m super excited to try it out ❤

I really enjoyed you walking us through your thought process. I picked up the A6 in March and have been loving it for my daily micro journaling. So now I'm getting a Papertess A6 (yes, now she's doing an A6 weekly!) to use as my one and only book. To me, A6 is that goldilocks size that looks good both full and (almost) empty and that fits in all my purses. I've been a Weeks (Hobo or SI) user for years, but I have less time for personal stuff now so the pages feel too big. If I can help it, I'll never use anything other than TRP the rest of my life. ❤ Looking forward to watching you work out your 2025 lineup and test a bunch of things for us. 😊

Those nails are on point!!! I’m doing one more set of summer colors and then it’s Fall time!! LOL I really liked the Midori book. I’m hardcore team cream and love the TRP in cream that I get for my TN and in the weeks, but Midori paper is a bit more fountain pen friendly.

Thank you for showing how your Codex pages are layer out I suck at layouts but I love the idea of the Midori codex because I don’t need a schedule for everyday and I do a lot of journaling I’d rather just smash them into one book for the entire year in a book that’s a free canvas but I’ll probably end up sticking with the decision to get a A5 Sterling Ink but the codex is really calling me loudly ❤😂

I love seeing you use the A6 hobonichi! (Even though I think all spreads you create in any journal look great). You make me want to try an A6 so bad 😂😅

I would love to see a pocket bullet journal update!

Nothing wrecks my motivation like a big gap of blank pages, and I always fall off the horse a few times a year. I can see the satisfaction of hitting the mark day after day, like jumping hurdles, but missing 5 in a row is discouraging and tough on the shins.😅 Its a good goal to attempt once I'm a little more reliably consistent.

Chappell Roan spotted! I’m loving using the A6 Hobonichi too because the size helps me not get overwhelmed but im considering the A5 next year because i find some of my daily ephemera doesn’t fit in the smaller hobonichi but I’m still undecided

I totally agree - I just started in a Hobonichi cousin and was feeling the right column was a bit too wide.. I saw Elle from 'the common corner' using a margin to make it look more agreeable.. I may give that a go.. I like the midori though!
