I actually agree with u on the academic inflation issue.. Esp with professional degrees that require some sort training, it's not easy.

They themselves are not useless, perhaps another reason we think so, it's the gap between the knowledge we aquire from university and what is expected in a working with time we learn, and after that we cry about the wages

I'm conflicted on this one. On the one hand, you can't do much without a degree but on the another people still struggle with degrees.

I feel the curriculum is the one the has to be improved. We should know how to do the job when we leave university.

I was looking through some jobs boards and saw a minimum of two years experience as a requirement.

I thought WTF?

And it's fine for companies to want an experienced individual. Afterall, when you have the best team, that's how you can fuel your success as a company. But where do we get that experience? 🤷🏾‍♀️ Those same companies don't offer apprenticeships or any skill development programmes.

I really feel university curricula are the problem. If their programmes offered Hands-on knowledge required for the job, perhaps companies will not be so nervous or reluctant when it comes to hiring fresh graduates.
