Launch director Charlie Blackwell-Thompson skipped the press conference. Interesting... Normally a person of that authority skipping the media would catch a whipping but nothing here 🤔

Why does NASA continue to use the Rankine temperature scale rather than Kelvin, as used everywhere else?

This is the right decision. we can see there is a level of transparency and steady leadership.

50 years we waited...and they cant get it right. SMH! Scrubbed Launch System (SLS) is not reliable from the start. E.M. we need you to take over...your the person who can make things done.

God will always bless administrator Bill Nelson and his family. He is an extraordinary American and all of us should follow in his footstep.

Way more work to fake it in HD.
The showrunner needs a little more time.

New rocket, 11 years, Nelson, $$$, NASA,
government - what could possibly go wrong? 😎

"Brand new rocket" with used engines! Bill Nelson is quite old.

They forgot to pack the flag to put on the moon for the first time.

5:50 "Sunday was largely a day of rest and preparation"... huh? Was it a rest day, or a day for preparation? Considering the fact that's the day before liftoff, the fact he said it was a "rest day" makes me think this guy doesn't have a clue what went on in a day to day operation in the last 72 hours

Just how long have the engines been in storage? As they were intended for STS missions, I presume they were constructed quite some time ago. Even if completely dismantled, restored and reassembled, it's likely there'd be some inherent unreliability, which surely isn't acceptable for a manned rocket design.

Just here to laugh at the salty armchair rocket scientists and their inane commentary from the cheap seats

It takes 42 days all of the sudden. To NOT land. Apollo did it in 8 days and played golf on the Moon for two days. What a laughable disgrace.

It should be called Aren't-a-mission or Art-is-a-miss, not Artemis due to the delays and over budget of this rocket. Thanks goodness for Spacex at least we see a launch of thier rocket before Nasa gets this one off the ground.

Old tech; Artemis is pile of steaming NASA duki. Starship is the future.

Do you really think that a government that can't even run a country right can launch a rocket to the moon.

The NASA found problems are more serious than an early thought. It would be a big bet for the backup launching windows in early september. The whole mission may have to postponed until the next late Spring.
There is still about 50% chance of successfully launching Artemis1 in the 2 backup windows. To prove the program success, Artemis would have its capsule recovered on earth after circling the Moon at the assigned orbits .
The structure integrity may have to be re-examined because this towering rocket would shake like big earthquake impacted upon its lift-off as the engine builds up its enormous power.
Publically, people don't want to discuss the deep reason of the 2 found problems. Privately, from the Congress to the NASA tops, people all know the reason of why. (Nothing's to do with any problem assumption nor the budget management).
