I just recently started shopping at Express again. They stepped up to the plate in the last couple of years and reinvented the styles adopting a New fashion. They were on Pause for almost a decade in my opinion.

Oooo…I LOVE these newer trends!! I actually have most of these items, except for the long blazer and body suits. I am 68 yrs. old, 4’ 10”, and short waisted. The long blazer looks absolutely ridiculous on me and the body suits….ummm…no thanks! I did those things in the 60’s and 70’s 😬! I am never fighting with crotch snaps again! I am, however, glad they are finally featuring more cropped tops as I am sick of dealing with all that extra fabric at the bottom of my shirts/tops that is just impossible to tuck into my skinny jeans without looking like I have gained 5 extra pounds around my hip area…yuk!!! Us (older) little ones are so often overlooked in the fashion industry. We like looking cute, stylish, and sometimes sexy too!!! Just because I have a…let’s say, more relaxed body type, doesn’t mean I have to succumb to multi layers of fabric, oversized tunics, and Elizabethan era necklines in order to present myself to the world “age appropriately” (and who the hell came up with that term??!! 😡). I approach fashion and style very consciously and spend much time working with my wardrobe to come up with combos that allows this little shrinking violet to present herself in the most stylish and complimenting way! Call me vane, but I really enjoy receiving complaints from strangers on how I look! 😁

I just discovered your channel and I'm loving it!!. Since you are 5'4" and petite, how are you able to wear all these brands, such as Express, and not have the arms be too long? I am 5', and I can never wear jackets unless they are petites because of the arms being too long. Especially if the sleeve has a detail on it.

Thanks for the info on what you see as in and out. Moto jackets are not flattering on me at all, nor are skinny jeans. We have very different body shapes, so most of what you can wear, I could never. I am going to adapt the tips to what will be feasible for me. I love the rust & neutral tones too for Fall! I can't wear heels anymore, and no real need to since Im retired. Im recently also letting my silver hair grow in, it is coming in beautifully!! Embracing the real me has been intriguing and fun! And, a great tip Id like to share is Ive been using a cleansing conditioner for my hair for years, (WEN, ) & now use the purple indigo that tones down brassy blonde & silver. I think maybe you will like it! I used to be a blonde (bleached) too for years. Pandemic quarantine was a great time to let my natural hair come in! And, I see many young people are trying to also get the look! Thanks again, Heather! Keep rocking those looks!
