I can't wait till someone makes a mid-range tablet that has the drawing reliability of an apple pencil and the app availability of Windows OS. Why's it so hard to make an affordable middle ground these days? It's like ipad -> Zbook x2 lol.

I feel like these depend more on the workflow that yall have, these work well as a 2nd device if you already have a decent computer, I'd say the iPad works better for starting a drawing and bringing it over to the computer and that the surface go works better for if you have already started something on the decent desktop and want to make small edits to the project when you are away

100% agree from the “where they are starting from” talk. Adapting full blown Windows to touch has and will always be the biggest slowdown/uncomfortably usage argument for the surface. I feel EVERYTIME I use one, I just need a keyboard and trackpad because the GUI isn’t meant to be used casually. So I always when on the couch or in a restful environment have to fumble and “prop” the surface up like a laptop with a floppy hinge. The kickstand while cool.. needs more “space” try sitting on a couch corner and use a surface.. nothing makes me want to punch kittens faster

Wouldn't it be better to compare the art apps like concepts from the Windows Store, which are more optimized for lower level Windows tablets? Especially when using the base model. Since in order to use Windows fully you'll need a little more power. I think that's why the go also doesn't come out the box running the full Windows. In my experience the go 2 the higher configuration although value is gone runs infinitely better than the base model go 2.

So brad, i don't even consider any surface product to replace my rig today because of that pen. But hear me out. I've been using a Lenovo Yoga 520 for years now with his pen that runs wacon drivers. And now there is this Thinkpad tablet that uses the same pen and drivers, and its more powerfull than the surface. Got any opinions on that? Because i might just have found out my next rig right there

I picked up an iPad Air a few months back so that I could do art and read e-books on the go, but I had always wondered if I made the right choice going with that instead of the Surface. Seeing this video makes me glad to know that I made the right choice.

Can you let us know if the Ananta monitor on Kickstarter is good for artists? They claim it has Microsoft Pen Protocol and is tilt and pressure sensitive. It's one of those really slim portable monitors.
