How to cook Golden Tapas 🥇

Golden Tapa
Ingredients
• Thick slices of bread, about 25 mm (1 inch) thick
• Butter – enough to spread on both sides of the bread
• 2 TBSP extra virgin olive oil (more if/as needed)
• Salt to taste
• Topping: fresh sliced mozzarella or bocconcini
• Other toppings could be prosciutto, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted peppers, anchovies, avocado, fried peppers, any sliced deli meat etc. Use any of these or any of your favorite toppings

Process
• Butter both sides of your sliced bread, add salt to taste if desired
• In a frying pan, turn heat to medium and add the olive oil
• Add your bread and sauté on medium heat until golden brown (a few minutes) or to your preferred level of darkness.
• Turn the bread over, add your topping (enough topping to lightly cover the entire slice of bread) and continue to sauté this side until golden brown or to your level of darkness
• Remove, cut bread in half or in smaller sections if desired, serve and enjoy
