Why are there so many slides which say “media offline” in different languages?

This is the main difference between us and Chinese, when a Chinese who moves to the west or even Chinese born in the western countries still works for betterment of China there may be few exceptions but look at Dilip Singh a second generation Indian living in the US threatening India look at VP Kamla Harris Indian people rejoiced when she became VP but instead of bridging the differences with the west these people benefit from their Indian heritage but can’t stand up for India, pathetic. Again not all Indians are like them but out of the whole diaspora of Indians living in the west; naturally India has expectations with the Indian people who are in a position of power in the west but they are first to lecture us.

Its all about economy, Russia really does not offer much in terms of export markets. China can be a major export market but given the geo politics its difficult. So US & EU are only large & rich markets left where we can export manufactured goods. Also most of the FDI will also come from the west.

India-USA trade is worth $113B in terms of traded goods if you add service sector it reaches almost $200B. US is also the source of largest remmittance for India and large number of Indian nationals work and study in USA. So USA is our most important strategic partner.

Do we have any choice 😛 c'mon you can't afford to loose US ties over russian interests. We can twist hand of US up to certain extent, but at the end economic interests are much larger with US compare to Russia.frankly we are not speaking openly against Russia is just bcs our inability to remove dependence on russia for our military(big failure). If that was not the case we would have first to criticize this invasion and destruction that russian have done in Ukraine. India never support the attck on other country .We want to speak but no choice here.period.

India runs a massive yearly trade surplus with USA and a massive yearly trade deficit with PRC ?

I don't think calling Ukraine, a country which is being inavaded by a foreign aggressor, "a minor antagonist" at the 8 min mark is very appropriate. It might be construed as an official position by a The Print editor/ journalist which I'm sure is not the case. From context, I can clearly tell it's because the right word didn't come to her but still it was an extremely jarring word to hear in this context.

India is dependent on Russia for its military supplies and Russia has always helped India during critical times. India wanted to go with the west but always received a cold shoulder for the past 70 years. We asked for computer chip manufacturing and we got 'lays', 'ruffels' and 'pringles'. We asked for weapons like B83, reaper drones, assault rifles, F-35 (denied and now India built its own Tejas and very soon the AMCA will be built), M777 Howitzers (we have our Dhanush now), Abrams tanks (we have Arjun MBT now), Ohio class submarines, tomahawk and patriot missiles but we're denied and India has built several missiles on its own (Agni, Prithvi, Trishul, Aakash), aircraft carriers. But all were refused and India has been spending decades to build these in its own.. then India asked for nuclear power plants and again a no..We asked for cryogenic engines for its space program but we're denied.. thankfully Indian have made them on its own. India asked for GPS at a critical juncture and it was denied and we have our own Navic. India is still not a permanent member of the security council or the NSG due to western hypocrisy. The west has very restrictive entry into their countries denying visas..and yet those who managed to get there have shown their commitment to the west. One must also not forget the genocide commited by the US in the Bhopal Gas tragedy where half a million people had been massacred in 1984 and no compensation was ever paid. This is a RACIAL war and EU/NATO would like to take over both Ukraine and Russia and resurrect the Third Reich in the northern hemisphere and then take in China and dominate the world. We can't be parties to racist ideologies and will have to fend ourselves and focus more on an Atmanirbhar Bharat. India can and will take its own decisions and it needs no explanation. Some priorities for India should be to create an indigenous secure email and messaging service, search engine, social media platforms and a complete database of Indians hosted on secure servers running in India. India should never sign any nuclear agreement till perpetuity or until the stockpiles are at the same level of other countries and India should not give into any climate change agreements without receiving proper compensation which would run in trillions of dollars.

I think, there should be multiple mechanisms of world trade. SWIF, and perto dollar should have alternate as the western nations use them as political weapons.

If we want to be financially independent, big economies will have to find an alternative to the SWIFT system. Else, we will always be beholden to the whims of USA.

Great analysis devoid of emotion. Daleep didn't come to sing us songs. He had a job to do and was direct and blunt. We fool.ourselves into thinking that we are great and than ask ourselves "how dare the young man speak to us like this".. Diplomats, journos who criticize him are pleasing the govt for their promotions. If the govt dosent like beeing told, immagine what we feel like when we are told by our govt as what to wear, what to eat, what to speak etc.
