ORF India Think Tank Forum 2022 || The risk of supply chain shocks has never been more palpable than today, following compounding crises from the US-China trade war, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the war in Ukraine. Global Value Chains (GVCs) are in flux and developing countries, including India, are shifting their policies to claim a piece of the action.

Given these facts, ORF conducted an enterprise survey on the policy changes required to integrate India into GVCs and create more gains from trade. How can India leverage its geopolitical relations to enable trade-led development? What role do new geopolitical configurations play and how are national security and economic security increasingly interlinked in the evolving geoeconomic order? How effective have Indian policy interventions in the field been? And what policy instruments can be explored for international cooperation at forums such as the G20?

Presentation of Report and Survey:
Jhanvi Tripathi, Associate Fellow, Geoeconomics Programme, Observer Research Foundation

Moderator: Virat Bhatia, Managing Director, Apple India

Speakers:
J.S. Deepak, Distinguished Fellow, Observer Research Foundation
