Such a helpful video! I make false horse tails using natural horse hair and fabric. I was experiencing a birdnest thinking it was my bobbin. Your explanation was spot on. Thank you so much for doing these videos... I have had my Janome HD9. for several weeks...all was well until I broke a needle and after replacing could not keep the thread from breaking. After two hours of frustration and the operator's manual read from cover to cover I found your video. Turns out my bobbin screw was just very slightly too loose. After following your settings, it sews a beautiful stitch again! You were a life saver. I have a deadline to finish a quilt top! Thanks so much.

Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou. Was having so many dramas with huge loops on the underside of my fabric. Removed the spring as you suggested and voila, perfect stitching.
