Nice video👌 but you can also calculate how far it is from home by subtracting total distance between kansas and california from the distance you travelled, i.e, 1500-600=900

From kansas toward newyork he covered 400 hundred miles
When he get a call from California
He take a u turn and covered +400 more distance toward the Kansas 400+400=800
800+actual distance from home to California + 600 miles to back home =2900miles
