Mystery surrounds tech executive’s fatal stabbing

San Francisco native and resident here. First of all, Rest in Peace Bob Lee. I'm curious to know what he was doing walking around that area at 2:30 in the morning. For those who are unaware, where he was is known as the SoMa area (South of Market) and he was in the specific area of East Cut/Rincon Hill. That area gets spooky at night, but not for reasons you would assume. It is comprised of office buildings and luxury apartments, nothing else besides a random corner store every few blocks that will close around 10pm if not earlier. There are also a lot of mentally ill and homeless people in that area tucked off in alleys, so it will be eerily quiet and then you'll hear rustling from an alley. There hasn't been any details released about what exactly happened, but my best guess is someone tried to rob him and, for whatever reason, decided to kill him. Very sad and seems like such a senseless crime.
