Went to Naples in March with my wife, and took three lessons each with Adam. She is a beginner, and I’m a 20 handicapper. He uses video to show you how your swing differs from the pros. Then, he provides instruction on how to get there. Helped us both tremendously. I use a swing like Nicklaus, and he didn’t discourage me. He showed me how to make it work better with adjustments in my posture and getting a full turn. He provided all the fundamentals for my wife … improving her swing, chipping, putting, and bunker. Club Mediterra is beautiful and very welcoming. We mixed it into a one week golf instruction/vacation. I’ve watched all of Adam’s videos, and he did not disappoint in person. Just a great teacher!

I find that the more upward backswing works for me. Allows me to come down closer to my body....with a more direct route to give both loft to the ball...and hit a nice straight shot. I find that when I lower the arc of the swing, I'm more likely to not get enough loft on the driver swing, as well as more likely to add some kind of side the shot harder to target well. I really like Schefflet's style. Can't come anywhere close to the flexibility of his shouilders, but I do find it's key to come back as far as reasonably possible on a wide backswing. Gives me time to both whip the club and synch up the timing with hip and shoulder swivel.

Great analysis! Backing away in the transition is resulted from being too steep. This is a great insight, thanks! Thus, weekend warriors should learn how to shallow early in the transition. Please have a video on shallowing first and then covering/ compressing.

Brilliant content as always Adam, could you cover a player that makes good use of a shortened backswing at some point please. Would love to see if this can help improve my game

Going to school in the UK, in the 70s, I did those olympic sports - javelin, shot put, discus. Nice to see you obviously did javelin, too. I wonder if kids still do it over there.

Best video teacher of all. You just get on with it without all the commercials which with some last up to 20minutes. eg my hero but dreadful seller Sir Nick

Nice to see this video with you, ADAM.
This long swing with hands high in the backswing is considered today to be old fashioned and «  modern » golf instructors would tell you to shorten your swing like JON RAHM does I certainly like better the « ancient « swing but you really have to be supple to perform it
