I cancelled my s9 plus order and decided to get another pixel 2 XL. Nothing is coming close to the portrait mode on the 2 XL. Plus knowing I'm going to get the latest updates and security. My Android device of choice will be the Pixel 2 XL until the 3 comes out.

Pixel 2 hands down. The best comes from the developers of Android. Not the forks, no matter how Samsung lipsticks it's touchwiz software. Why can't Samsung focus on hardware, where they seem to do well, and leave the software to Google? It's not like Bixby is some big cash cow.

Pixel 2 XL for me. Pure android, better camera and just faster updates is enough for me to choose the Pixel 2 XL. :)

I'd prefer the S9 based on two things. A headphone jack and the beautiful design.
The Pixel has a great camera and stock UI but damn that Infinity display is sexy AF :D

Personally, I would choose the S9 due to its compact size, nice looks, better display and lower price to the Pixel 2 XL.

I checked out some reviews, played in the showroom with both the S9 plus and Pixel 2 xl and then ordered the latter. I'm happy with it and, from my usage/personal preferences, it trails the S9 plus only with regards to the display and the lack of a 3.5mm jack.

i'd say the s9 is the more all around media powerhouse but if you care about the camera a little more than others, pixel 2xl all day

I'm still going with the Pixel 2 XL, I love mine! Once you go stock Android and its smoothness, it's hard to go back. The camera is amazing as well! Also, free full-quality photo storage...
