Galaxy S9 vs. Pixel 2

No headphones jack, no infinity display which is the best on the market, dual speakers with Dolby Atmos which makes a huge difference, a great camera not pixel but right next to it, great battery, and it just looks sexy, yes no updates from Google but 6 GB of RAM really makes this phone fly, I haven't noticed any Samsung lag, come on it's not even close ..the Galaxy has everything!!!!

Just feel like phone upgrades within 2yrs is pointless, we have hit a plateau and would be splitting heairs when buying a new phone as all upgrades are incremental at best. It's certainly not enough to warrant dropping 700-1k out of no where just because it has a new camera.

I had the S9 for about a week and ended up returning it. Got the Pixel 2 XL and still to this day, I have no regrets. I plan on getting the Pixel 3 or 3 XL when there’s promotions for it. I will give it to Samsung though for trying in the camera department. I had the S8 before my Pixel 2 (and the first gen Pixel XL before the S8) and I absolutely couldn’t stand the camera on it, the photos taken looked a lot worse than ones from my first Pixel. The S9 takes photos that ALMOST match the Pixel 2. But still, can’t find much to justify choosing it over the Pixel 2.

Pixel 2xl is beast....i used s9 plus and pixel 2 xl simultaneously as I need 2 phones for my work. Found pixel drastically faster and smoother than s9 plus. Battery backup is similar on both the devices. Personally my pick is pixel 2 xl... straight forward android phone ❤️

I have the Pixel 2xl & i think looks better since its a bit wider than the Galaxy. Quicker software updates is great too. One category i think should be added is global capability. The Pixel devices will virtually function on any carriers network, world wide on 3g 4g LTE whereas the galaxy devices could be stuck on 3g or have no coverage The frequency band covers a much wider spectrum on the Pixel devices vs the Samsung devices. So GSM/CDMA capability may be important to some.

Pixels are great cameras but Samsung phones have the most bang for the buck features galore! Micro sd card slot, heart rate reader, pip native and swipe to screenshot.

The regular S9 is underrated, it has much better one hand use even if you have big hands

Eh? Feels like the pixel was overkilled with the s9+. Should only compare with pixel 3 soon.

I was surprised to see that the software was a tie in this video. IMHO, putting stock Android (including camera software) on an S9 would be a dream! However, that's not reality. Having the latest software and excellent photos with unlimited storage outweighs everything else. I am envious of the wireless charging and Micro SD on the Sammie as well as that breathtaking display.

Honestly it doesn't bother me that the pixel 2 looks outdated. Because of its bezels, I look past looks when it comes to a phone. For me it's all about what it can do, battery life, updates and support, it's easy to use and understand, and it's size. That's just to name a few things. I personally think the galaxy is over popular just like the iphone. But unlike the iphone the galaxy has other Android competition. When I get a new phone it'll be the pixel 2.

This comparison should have been based on the XL model. You mentioned the large bezels of the Pixel 2 but yet some parts of the video you're handling the XL model which of course has smaller bezels. Also, same with the battery. XL has a much larger battery than the smaller Pixel 2.
