Ali Siddiq is a stand-up comedian, public speaker, and writer out of Houston. Ali’s unique style of stand-up began behind the walls of incarceration, an incubator for interesting experiences and good stories.

People received their first taste of Ali Siddiq when he appeared on HBO's DEF COMEDY JAM and LIVE FROM GOTHAM, and in 2013 he was named Comedy Central's "#1 Comic to Watch". In 2014, Ali impressed comedy enthusiasts by displaying his ability to captivate an audience with his "Mexicans Got On Boots" tale, descriptive storytelling, with over 15 million views, of a prison riot on THIS IS NOT HAPPENING, the first of three appearances. His stories continued with his HALF HOUR special, which premiered on Comedy Central in the fall of 2016. Immediately following the premiere of that special, Comedy Central offered Ali an hour-special where he performed for inmates live in a Texas jail, sending Ali back to where it all started. The hour special, Ali Siddiq: It’s Bigger Than These Bars, premiered in February 2018 on Comedy Central. In 2019, Ali could be seen as a Top 5 finalist on NBC’s BRING THE FUNNY. Most recently, Ali could be seen as a guest on THE JOE ROGAN EXPERIENCE.

He ain't lying. We moved to a upperclass area in a small town and ALL our white neighbors decided to greet us one EVENING just at dark. It was just me and my children at home and I literally panicked and ran for my 38 and told my kids to hide. For whatever reason they thought it was a good idea to walk up my driveway with lit candles. I literally thought it was a lynch mob, Until they rung the bell with baskets of goodies. I never told them that I was going to blast their asses.😂

Opened the door.... That's where you missed me. If you don't call, "I'm not home". I don't care if you just saw me park or walk inside of my home. 😂😂😂😂

When Shrek said, "Get off my swamp". I felt that.

This white lady that lived next door was new to the neighborhood and she knocked on our door and gave us homemade cookies. We stared at em thinking she was tryna poison us. She ended up being a cool lady though.

If you got a sitcom, I'd definitely watch. Your day to day got to be hilarious.

White lady walked up to me and told me I looked unapproachable.

It pissed me off because she approached me to tell me that.

We always made "move in baskets" basically just the necessities one might need in a new home. Soap, toilet paper, paper towels and plates, etc, and a meal. Then ask if they needed anything or if they had questions about the neighborhood/town. Idk, it's a good way to make connections and meet people. A strong community can really make a difference. We've always been close with neighbors, kids play together, cookouts, watching each other's homes and pets and even children if needed, helping on home projects together. Having that kind of relationship is not only convenient but it saves a LOT of money. You feel safer, you have built in emergency help, if someone gets hurt or sick you have support. When my mom was in the hospital for 93 days our neighbors kept us alive. When my neighbor needed back surgery I was over there every day to help cook and clean. When my mom broke her arm she had help. Community is invaluable.

Abd then you realize they brought quiches, brownies, bottles of wine or cases of beer, all kinds of food and just want to know if you got kids to play with theirs.
As an introvert that shit scared me but also made me smile after

This happened when I got my first house in Jax, FL. They were ringing the doorbell while the moving truck was still in the fucking driveway. You gonna be pleasant, bih 🤣 Shout out to TomCat who saved me from blowing myself up with the propane grill tank 🤣
