How to Manual Swap your car, BMW E30 - Part 1

We finally get around to swapping Rob's E30 from an automatic to a manual transmission. This is part one and will show you all the major components required to convert to a manual transmission, as well as show you the steps involved to remove the current automatic parts from your car.

This process is shown using an E30 as an example, however many other vehicles will be similar and this video can be used as education/guidance to understanding the process required for the swap.

4:45 my understanding was the opposite. When you press the clutch pedal the pressure plate releases from the friction plate so you can change gears. When you release the clutch pedal all three pieces spin together again.
