I’m surprised at how random the cow sightings are. I always thought of herds or at least groups of cows. But you seem to find many single cows.

Does anyone keep track of which side of the Continental Divide you are on? Easrier, you were on the western side, because the Gila flows into the Pacific. Now you are on the eastern side, and that river you saw must flow into the Rio Grande and then Gulf of Mexico.
