Thief - Quickly Pick a Lucky Lock Trophy / Achievement Guide

Thief - Quickly Pick a Lucky Lock - Pick a lock with masterful speed [Bronze / 10G]

You can do this at any door in the game that has 3 pins. Save your game before interacting with the door. Now try to pick the lock and remember the correct combination. Before unlocking the third pin, reload your save game. You'll be back in front of the door and just need to enter the same combination as before. Do this in under 3 seconds and the trophy / achievement should unlock.
If you fail, you can reload your save game every time.

Note: If you've already opened the door shown in the video, you can return to the clock tower (your hideout) and it will get locked again.

That was insanely fast!
I had to stop playing for a few days because the asylum level has me on the edge of my seat. I want to finish the game so bad but that asylum is scaring me hardcore for some reason. They really captured the feeling of it wonderfully :)

The lockpicking minigame in this game is one of the worst minigames I've seen in a long time.
1. If you try to pick too fast, your attempt will be regarded as mistake. Because of that, I have to wait half a second before I can press R2/RT.
2. Sometimes, pressing R2/RT doesn't register, because the pressure point is set so low.

First off I want to say thanks for the guides, you're a star..especially the collectibles..hate the map on this game, your videos helped ease the frustration a little!! Now for this trophy...I am not quite understanding, do I have to pick the lock fast (masterful speed), know beforehand which way to push analog stick (lucky lock), or both? The reason I am asking is becuase the trophy info is not clear and the technique in this video is not working. What I thought would be a simple trophy is now pissing me off and the worst thing is it is not skill it just seems to be luck! (as the trophy suggests lol) Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I have attempted this Achievement about ten times and am still not quick enough lol :|

I think it has been patched on the ps3 because every time I reaload it the combination changes.

I cant even get past the first lock, the white circle just stays lightly grey and never turns white

I tried this out once and I failed. Now everytime I start picking a lock Garrett constantly looks to the left for no damn reason !! I think my PS3 couldn't handle my lock picking :I

This was patched in 1.01! I've got it this way on got it on the ps4,   but now this doesn't seem to work on ps3 Master-Custom setting i save before check it I reload and it isn't the same!
